Alfredo is an artist whose favorite modes of inquiry remain drawing and painting. His work is projected through explorations of the ineffable nature of consciousness and considered research of materials, entheogenic plants, and ethnography. His work takes starting points from all of art history’s gamut of figure painting to process oriented art, and is meant as an open invitation to the perceiver to reimagine the limits of visual objects.
Alfredo studied at The Cooper Union School of Art, New York, NY (BFA, 2005). He lives and works in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago and supports his art practice by working as an art-handler.
